Job summary

A leading construction firm in Scotland seeks a Junior Quantity Surveyor to assist in managing project costs and support the preparation of bills and contracts. You will work closely with site teams and subcontractors to deliver high-quality residential projects, ensuring effective communication and risk management. Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure commercial aspects of contracts are maintained effectively under guidance of senior surveyors
  • Help identify and manage potential commercial risks and opportunities
  • Collaborate with site teams, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Contribute to accurate reporting and forecasting of project costs and budgets
  • Provide support in client and subcontractor meetings, ensuring clear communication of commercial matters
What You Bring
  • Some experience in a commercial or construction environment, ideally within housebuilding
  • Working knowledge of construction contracts and procedures is advantageous
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or currently working towards professional qualification
  • A proactive, enthusiastic approach with excellent communication and teamwork skills
