About the job
As a company specialising in listed buildings and scheduled monuments we carry out refurbishments and renovations of listed housing as well as works on castles, ancient monuments and other listed buildings. We have a specialist joinery and masonry department as well as employing our own bricklayers, carpenters and painters.
We have recently won several interesting projects and are looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to assist with cost management and completion of the final accounts.
We will of course give further training as required but we would want the candidate to be able to provide monthly valuations, keep control on costs, procure and place orders for subcontractors and generally assist the managing QS and contracts management teams. Any estimating skills would be welcome but we believe the right candidate would be able to learn this in due course. There is scope for furthering your career and we aim to provide a good working environment for all.
Predominantly based at our Ludlow office we would expect the candidate to have a full driving licence and their own transport. A salary commensurate with your skills level and a car allowance would be provided.
Qualifications
Qualifications or working toward an appropriate qualification would be an advantage although skill level and aptitude for the work is more important.
