Job description

Keegans is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor & Employers Agent for a full-time/permanent position based in London. The role offers a hybrid working model.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist in quantity surveying duties, including pre- and post-contract activities, cost reporting, cost planning, tender preparation, on-site valuations, and interim payment applications.
2. Support employer’s agent responsibilities such as contract administration, instructions, meetings, and coordination.
3. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely information for project success.
4. Work collaboratively as part of a team to deliver projects.
5. Engage in regular CPD activities to update knowledge on relevant legislation and technical aspects of quantity surveying and employer’s agent roles.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. A relevant university degree or equivalent.
2. Experience as a trainee/assistant Quantity Surveyor.
3. Experience as a trainee/assistant Employer’s Agent is desirable.
4. Experience working on residential properties is essential.
5. Knowledge of working with local authorities, housing associations, or developers is desirable.
6. Knowledge of fire remediation, education, or leisure sectors is a plus.
7. Working towards MRIC/MCIOB membership.
