Job summary

Cadence Search Ltd. is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a leading multi-award-winning contractor focused on super-prime residential refurbishment projects in London. You will support the Commercial Team to keep projects on budget while maintaining high quality and contract standards.

You will assist with cost estimation, subcontractor management, cost monitoring, reporting, site visits, and final accounts as part of a collaborative project team delivering premier private residences.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting commercial teams on construction projects.
• Knowledge of cost reporting and final accounts.
• Willingness to learn and contribute on high-spec refurbishment projects.

Responsibilities

• Cost Estimation: Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents to ensure projects are financially viable.
• Subcontractor Management: Support the management of subcontractor accounts, including valuations, payments, and negotiations.
• Cost Monitoring: Track project costs, identifying any financial risks or opportunities to keep projects on budget.
• Reporting: Prepare and analyze cost reports and forecasts, presenting to the Commercial Director.
• Site Visits: Participate in site visits to monitor progress and contract compliance.
• Final Accounts: Assist in preparing final accounts, including cost reconciliation and settlement of claims.
• Collaboration: Work closely with project teams to ensure smooth project delivery.

This unique opportunity will immerse you in some of the finest private residential construction projects in the UK with you overseeing these very high specification refurbishment projects in the Capital.

As the Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you'll be diving into the heart of their projects, supporting our wider Commercial Team to keep each project on track making sure they are kept within budget while making sure the highest levels of quality are achieved.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Cost Estimation: Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents to ensure projects are financially viable.

• Collaboration: Work closely with project teams to ensure smooth project delivery, sharing insights and solutions as needed.
