Job summary

Morgan Sindall Infrastructure is recruiting a Commercial Administrator to join our Clyde nuclear programme in Glasgow. The role provides essential support to the commercial team and helps maintain project records.

You will gain experience across contract administration, forecast cashflow, and reporting, while working with a collaborative team on a major infrastructure project.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting a commercial, project, or administrative team within construction, engineering, infrastructure, or similar.
  • Diligence and high accuracy.
  • Good organisation and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Effective communication and people skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day commercial administration support to the project team.
  • Assist with contract administration activities and maintain accurate project records.
  • Support cash forecasting processes and help to track commercial performance.
  • Collate and prepare payment evidence in line with contractual requirements.
  • Gather, track, and coordinate responses to commercial queries.
  • Maintain organised and accurate documentation using project management systems.
  • Support commercial reporting activities and ensure information is submitted accurately and on time.
  • Work collaboratively with project stakeholders to ensure effective commercial management across the programme.

We are currently looking for a Commercial Administrator to join our growing team supporting the delivery of a major nuclear infrastructure programme at Clyde. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within a high-profile project, providing essential support to the commercial team while gaining valuable experience and developing your career within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Working as part of a large-scale programme, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a complex and challenging project while broadening your commercial knowledge and skills.

Role Responsibilities
  • Providing day-to-day commercial administration support to the project team.
  • Assisting with contract administration activities and maintaining accurate project records.
  • Supporting cash forecasting processes and helping to track commercial performance.
  • Collating and preparing payment evidence in line with contractual requirements.
  • Gathering, tracking, and coordinating responses to commercial queries.
  • Maintaining organised and accurate documentation using project management systems.
  • Supporting commercial reporting activities and ensuring information is submitted accurately and on time.
  • Working collaboratively with project stakeholders to ensure effective commercial management across the programme.
  • Assisting the wider commercial team with general administrative and coordination tasks as required.
Essential Skills, Experience and Qualifications
  • Experience supporting a commercial, project, or administrative team within a construction, engineering, infrastructure, or similar environment.
  • Strong diligence and an elevated level of accuracy.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Effective communication and people skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Desirable
  • Exposure to NEC contracts.
  • Experience using CEMAR or similar contract management systems.
  • Understanding of commercial processes within construction, infrastructure, or engineering projects.
  • Experience working within large-scale infrastructure programmes.
  • An interest in developing a career within commercial management.
