Job description

Due to a recently awarded 5-year framework, a leading civil engineering contractor is seeking to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to complement their team in Exeter.

This role is with the water division working on capital works projects, Current schemes include pumping stations, major diversions, and mains renewals

The wider group maintains a strong presence in civil engineering, energy, and the rail sector and is currently enjoying significant organic growth.

This is a hybrid working Senior Quantity Surveyor opportunity.

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for assisting with managing a portfolio of work valued at £20M

The Assistant Quantity Surveyor Will Assist With

Reviewing subcontractors and engaging with and expanding the supply chain

Raising new subcontracts, monitoring, and adherence to governance levels

Managing and reporting on change to the contract

Working closely with the Operational Lead to ensure that data is recorded accurately and identify risks and commercial opportunities. carry out sub-contract evaluations and authorise payments

Experience Required

Suitable Assistant Quantity Surveyors will be educated to HNC / BSc Quantity Surveying and will have no less than 1 years QS experience working within the civil engineering or utility sectors.
