Assistant Quantity Surveyor Swadlincote Derbyshire East Midlands

UPB are working with a reputable and growing, Privately owned construction main contractor to hire an Assistant Quantity Surveyor for a salary position in the Derbyshire, East Midlands area. The successful candidate will be working on any number of framework contracts, that the business is a part of.

You will benefit from working in a personable environment, with an experienced commercial team daily, continuously developing your skill-set whilst managing elements of the commercial process independently over time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of accurate cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports.
• Collaborate with project teams to monitor and control costs throughout the project lifecycles.
• Assist in the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to quality standards.
• Contribute to value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Construction related qualification (preferred not essential)
