Job description

Our client, a multi-disciplinary consultancy based near Dartford, is actively seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team due to growth. In this position, the successful individual will work closely with Directors and their Seniors on all aspects of contracts to ensure that all financial and commercial objectives are met.

This role will be office-based with site visits as required.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor Position Overview

This role will involve various duties including Estimating, General Assisting, Forecasting & Budgeting, and Commercial tasks. Please see some selected duties below:

• Payment tracking.
• Creating & reviewing supply chain tenders/quotations.
• Identifying best value quotes for the project.
• Liaising with the Design & Operational Managers during the construction process.
• Cost reconciliations.
• Liaising with Sub-Contractors on payment assessments and notifications.
• Preparing return tender invitations for presentation to the client.
• Maintaining records of tenders submitted and their progress.
• Preparing builders BoQ and take-off.
• Providing general assistance to the Senior Quantity Surveyor and Director as identified.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor Position Requirements

• Prior experience in a similar position.
• A professional qualification/degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Full Driving License.
• Ambition to progress and develop.
