Assistant Quantity Surveyor Interior Fit-Out East London Up to GBP45,000 + Package

Looking to kickstart your commercial career with a growing, respected specialist contractor? This is a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to work on high-value interior fit-out and drylining projects across East London and the South East.

You ll gain hands-on experience on live sites, be mentored by experienced Senior QSs and Commercial Managers, and build a clear path to becoming a fully-fledged Quantity Surveyor.

What You ll Be Doing (The Role)
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you ll support the commercial team on multiple projects ranging from GBP3m GBP9m covering drylining, SFS, plastering, render, and fire remediation packages.
Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with tender preparation, take-offs, and cost plans
• Support procurement and subcontractor management
• Help with valuations, variations, and payment applications
• Work on-site to monitor progress and capture changes
• Maintain project documentation and assist with reporting
• Learn the full QS cycle from pre-construction through to final account

About You
We re looking for someone with:

• 1 2 years experience in a construction or fit-out commercial role
• A degree (or working towards) in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or similar
• Knowledge of JCT contracts (preferred but not essential)
• Eagerness to learn, strong attention to detail, and a proactive mindset
• Strong communication and Excel/reporting skills
