What You ll Be Doing (The Role)
- Supporting senior Quantity Surveyors with commercial management across multiple conservation projects
- Assisting with valuations, variations, subcontractor payments, and cost reporting
- Helping to manage procurement and tender comparisons for specialist trades
- Attending site visits, taking measurements, and supporting cost analysis and forecasting
- Preparing project documentation in line with contract and heritage requirements
- Working closely with site teams and consultants to ensure financial accuracy and compliance
About You
- Experience in an Assistant QS or Trainee QS role within construction, ideally with refurbishment or traditional build exposure
- Interest in heritage, listed buildings, and traditional materials like stone, timber, lime, and lead
- Strong numeracy, attention to detail, and willingness to learn from senior professionals
- Familiar with core QS tasks such as cost control, subcontractor accounts, and valuations
- Degree-qualified or working towards a qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
- Motivated to develop in a specialist sector and take on more responsibility over time
