Job summary

The Dean Neurological Centre on Tewkesbury Road, Longford, Gloucester, GL2 9EE, seeks an Assistant Psychologist to contribute to assessments and formulations and to deliver 1:1 and group interventions for service users with neurological conditions. You will work under supervision and help maintain clinical databases and audits.

You will develop specialist skills, participate in training, and support reflective practice for staff within a 24-hour neurological care setting that prioritises quality

Qualifications

• Honours degree in Psychology conferring eligibility for Graduate Membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS)
• Experience as an Assistant Psychologist in forensic/mental health settings
• Meet HCPC standards of conduct, performance and ethics and BPS code of ethics
• Experience maintaining office systems and administration tasks

Responsibilities

• Contributing to psychological assessments and formulations
• Facilitating psychological interventions (1:1 and group) and monitoring effectiveness
• Assisting in designing and delivering specialist training
• Maintaining clinical databases and completing outcome measures
• Writing reports for various audiences and conducting service evaluations
