Job summary

Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Psychologist to join the Community Team for Adults with Learning Disabilities in Taunton. This full-time, 12-month fixed-term maternity cover role offers opportunities to develop clinical psychology experience and work with adults with LD in a supportive team.

You will work under supervision to deliver assessments, interventions, and service development tasks, with regular supervision and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Essential: First degree in psychology.
• Essential: Eligibility for Graduate Membership of the BPS.
• Desirable: A further qualification in an appropriate subject.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of psychological assessments and evidence-based interventions.
• Assist in assessment, formulation and treatment planning for adults with learning disabilities.
• Contribute to audits, research projects and data analysis to support service development.
• Maintain accurate electronic records and work within professional guidelines.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Psychology
