Job summary

South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic and creative person to join the learning disability inpatient service.

You will work under the supervision of a clinical psychologist to deliver psychological support to adults with learning disabilities who have complex needs and display behaviours that challenge. Flexible working options are available, and opportunities for service-related research may arise.

Qualifications

• Experience with adults with learning disabilities.
• Inpatient experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the delivery of psychological support to adults with learning disabilities who have complex needs and display behaviours that challenge.
• Deliver a range of assessments and interventions under the supervision of a qualified psychologist.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team within the LDS inpatient service.
• There may be opportunities for service-related research.
• Flexible working patterns such as term time, part time, compressed hours and flexi-time are supported.
