Job summary

East London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Assistant Psychologist to join the Early Intervention Service. You will support Psychologists and the multidisciplinary team with assessments, data handling, and manualised CBT-informed interventions under supervision.

Travel across Bedfordshire and Luton is required, with a focus on holistic, biopsychosocial care. The role requires a driving licence and strong communication skills, plus experience in clinical settings and research methods.

Qualifications

• First or upper second class honours degree in psychology.
• Post-graduate training in relevant areas of professional psychology, mental health practice and/or research design and analysis.
• Experience delivering individual and group psychological interventions.
• Previous work with people with mental health or social care needs.
• Experience working in a clinical team.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain rapport with clients to enable meetings and engagement in service activities.
• Carry out or assist in carrying out specified assessments, including standardized psychometric tests and preparing reports.
• Deliver standardized individual and group psychological interventions under supervision.
• Provide feedback regarding assessments and interventions to clients and the multidisciplinary team.
• Undertake file/case reviews to support clinical decision making.
• Attend psychology and multidisciplinary meetings to share findings and analyses.
• Contribute to risk assessment and management and report any harm or risk as required.
