Job summary

South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Assistant Psychologist to support Croydon Crisis Plus, working across Croydon Adult Mental Health Services in a face-to-face role. You will help co-create multi-agency crisis plans for high-use service users, under psychologist supervision, and contribute to recovery support and service development.

The role involves comprehensive assessments, liaison with services, and participation in MDT discussions, with a strong emphasis on data

Qualifications

• Under supervision of qualified psychologists, you will develop and use a range of psychological skills including assessment and formulation.
• You will lead on the co-creation of effective multi-agency crisis plans for the highest-use service users and their care teams.

Responsibilities

• Support time-limited interventions for service users, carers, and mental health professionals to develop Anticipatory Management Plans.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of service users' histories, patterns of presentation, and crisis service use.
• Attend MDT meetings and ward rounds, contributing to multidisciplinary clinical discussions.
• Contribute to data collection, analysis, and interpretation, including qualitative and quantitative outcome data from service users and professionals.
