Job summary

The Calderdale CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Assessment Teams at South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Trust are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Psychologist to support diagnostic assessments of children with autism or ADHD, working alongside Clinical Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists and other professionals.

You will contribute to school observations, assessments (QB test, WISC-V/WAIS-V), multidisciplinary discussions, and service improvements.

Qualifications

• Honours degree in Psychology (2:1) required.
• Entitlement to graduate membership of the British Psychological Society.
• Practical experience with people with mental health problems or learning disabilities.
• Desirable: experience administering neuropsychological assessments.

Responsibilities

• Complete school observations and assist in assessment clinics.
• Administer QB test and cognitive assessments (e.g., WISC-V, WAIS-V).
• Contribute to MDT discussions and service improvements/audits.
• Provide support for clinical supervision and training within the team.
