Job description
Overview

An opportunity within the Community Adult Learning Disability Service for a permanent post as an Assistant Psychologist within the Psychology Service that works in the Central Learning Disability Service in Manchester, based in Hulme.

Responsibilities
  • Support the qualified psychologists to work with adults with learning disabilities, their families and the services that support them, and assist the wider multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Deliver therapy, neuropsychological assessments, behavioural advice, training, and contribute to service developments under direct supervision.
  • Assist with clinical delivery alongside evaluation, service development, research and audit. Clinical delivery will include neuropsychological assessments, therapy delivery, advice to supporters, and dementia assessments.
  • Support and enhance the professional psychological care within clinical psychology services for adults with learning disabilities and their families and care staff in Central Manchester.
  • Assist in clinically related administration, data collation and analysis (qualitative and quantitative), and the development of audit and research projects, training, and service development project work.
