Qualifications

Responsibilities

Are you a Psychology graduate looking to looking to help change the lives of vulnerable young people?

We are looking for an Assistant Psychologist to join our therapy team here at Swaay!

The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary therapy team assisting with undertaking assessments and providing therapeutic interventions to our young people.

You will have a BPS accredited Degree in Psychology, display resilience and a positive attitude and will act as a role model to the young people in our care.

It is desirable if you have experience conducting psychometric assessments, however if you have not, full training with be provided.

Roles And Responsibilities

• You will support with aspects of our assessments, including the administration and scoring of psychometric tests
• Assist with day-to-day administration tasks, plus have involvement working directly with young people in the context of the therapy group programmes
• Develop a caseload of Individual Work as appropriate under the supervision of experienced psychologists and practitioners

For over 30 years, SWAAY have been providing specialised, high-quality residential care, education and therapeutic services for young males aged 11-18 with developmental trauma, attachment difficulties and who have displayed sexually harmful behaviour. We are now widely recognised for the excellent therapeutic service programmes that we offer and have contributed to research and literature in the field.

We work to reduce the risk these young people pose, meet their complex needs and help them manage their physical and behavioural difficulties, so that they can build healthy relationships and go on to lead fulfilling, rewarding and offence-free lives.
