This is an exciting opportunity to join a developing new service aimed at improving the well-being and psychological functioning of young people at Oakhill STC. The service provides weekly individual and group therapy sessions to young people aged 12 to 18 years with an offending history. The role involves supporting our clinical psychologist in client care and delivering psychological therapies. You will also work closely with mental health practitioners and the wider healthcare team to deliver a trauma-informed service.
As part of the SECURE STAIRS model, as an Assistant Psychologist, you will work with clients with low-level mental health needs using basic counselling, anxiety management, and depression interventions. You will provide psychological assessments, formulations, and interventions under the supervision of a qualified psychologist. Your role will include delivering structured interventions based on your training and the clients' needs.
Oakhill Secure Training Centre is a specialized facility providing a safe and structured environment for boys and girls aged 12 to 18. Our mission is to offer security, care, guidance, and rehabilitation for young individuals.
As part of our healthcare team, you will collaborate with nurses, mental health practitioners, and support staff to deliver healthcare services tailored to each youth’s needs. We aim to promote physical and mental well-being, ensuring every individual receives the support to thrive.
