Job summary

Bedford Borough Council is seeking an Assistant Psychologist to join the Experts at Hand service, working with Educational Psychologists, schools and families to improve outcomes for children and young people. The role offers supervision, development opportunities and flexible/hybrid working where appropriate.

The successful candidate will hold a psychology degree recognised by the BPS, have experience with children & young people, and demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills

Job Advert: As part of our ambitious Experts at Hand programme, we are expanding our team & looking for enthusiastic Assistant Psychologists who are passionate about improving outcomes for children & young people.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded service with strong school relationships & a commitment to early intervention, inclusion & evidence-informed practice. Working alongside Educational Psychologists, schools & families, you will help children & young people overcome barriers to learning & achieve positive outcomes.

Our Assistant Psychologists play an important role in delivering direct work with children & young people, supporting families, developing interventions, contributing to service projects & working collaboratively with schools & multi-agency partners.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for graduates considering future professional training in Educational Psychology, as well as individuals with experience of supporting children & young people in education, health or care settings.
