Willmott Dixon Interiors in Reading is seeking an Assistant Project Surveyor to support commercial delivery on a £26m MoJ Courts project.

You will provide commercial and financial support to senior surveyors, manage contracts, cost control, and liaise with the supply chain to ensure on-budget delivery and customer satisfaction.

Initial allocation at Reading Court with a requirement to reside within 45 minutes and onsite at least four days a week.

Qualifications

• Ideally experience across PPC 2000 and NEC forms of contracts.
• Experience in procurement and re-measurement.
• Strong financial and cost control awareness.
• A good understanding of contract law.
• Ability to read and accurately interpret drawings and specifications.
• Valid CSCS card and Drivers Licence.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in a construction-related discipline.

Responsabilités

• Assist in valuing, certifying, and issuing payment notices for subcontract works in line with subcontract conditions.
• Ensure external valuations are submitted accurately and payments are received on time.
• Prepare and update Cost Value Comparison (CVC) reports to reflect the current on-site position and projected final profit.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with our supply chain, consultants, and clients to promote collaboration and resolve potential disputes early.
• Support senior commercial staff in achieving or exceeding budgeted financial targets.
• Work closely with project teams to ensure effective cost control, procurement, and contract administration throughout the project lifecycle.
