Job description

Compensation: $25.00/Hour

Location: Chantilly, VA - OR - Essex, MD

Schedule: Mon – Fri, Hybrid (2 days home, 3 in office)

Job Responsibilities:

  • An apprentice-based position focused on training for managing commercial projects from inception to closure.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining project documentation, including project plans, reports, and schedules.
  • Organize and maintain project files and records, ensuring all documents are up-to-date and accessible.
  • Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and take meeting minutes.
  • Coordinate with project team members and stakeholders to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Monitor project timelines and milestones, reporting any deviations or issues to the Project Manager.
  • Assist in the preparation and tracking of project budgets and expenses.
  • Facilitate effective communication within the project team and with external stakeholders.
  • Draft and distribute project-related communications such as emails, notices, and updates.
  • Serve as a point of contact for project inquiries and provide information as needed.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of project processes and procedures.
  • Collect, compile, and analyze project data to support decision-making and reporting.
  • Prepare regular status reports and presentations for project updates.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in business administration, project management, or related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a project support role or administrative position.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Team player with a collaborative approach.
