Job summary

AtkinsRéalis UK is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our Midlands PDP team, based in Birmingham. You will support the delivery of multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects, assisting with planning, programme management and stakeholder engagement to help deliver on time and budget.

You will work alongside experienced project professionals, develop skills in governance, earned value reporting and project controls while working on high-profile programmes across Water, Defence, Rail and

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Project Management, Engineering or related discipline.
Working towards or holding professional qualification such as APM/Chartered.
Experience supporting design commissions and design-and-build infra projects.
Experience in Water/Defence/Rail or wider infra sectors is beneficial.
Knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts and governance.

Responsibilities

Support the Project Manager in delivering large, complex multi-disciplinary projects.
Assist with planning, programme management and risk tracking.
Coordinate actions and learn to contribute to project outcomes.
Identify and manage contractual and commercial risks for AtkinsRéalis and clients.
Prepare clear, timely project information for decision making.
Support coordination across teams and maintain a positive working environment.
Contribute to development through knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Facilitate communication between clients, suppliers, and project teams.
Develop and maintain project delivery programmes and plans.
Gain hands-on experience with AtkinsRéalis governance and standards.
