Job summary

Kinetic Solutions Group is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of projects from our Sheffield base. You will coordinate with project managers and cross-functional teams, track milestones and monitor progress to ensure timely delivery within budget.

The role offers exposure to engineering projects in a dynamic environment, with opportunities to grow in project management through hands-on support, documentation, reporting and continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Experience in a support or coordination role within engineering, construction, or manufacturing is advantageous.
• Basic understanding of project management principles and tools.
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic and eager to learn from experienced project leaders.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing project plans, tracking milestones and coordinating resources to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
• Support clear communication between internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment on objectives and timelines.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and prepare progress reports for senior management.
• Identify potential risks and maintain logs of issues and mitigation actions, escalating concerns when necessary.
• Assist in budget monitoring and cost tracking, supporting financial reviews.
• Contribute ideas for improving project workflows and best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations and other departments to foster a collaborative project environment.
• Support the Project Manager in presenting updates to senior management.
