Job summary

Murphy is recruiting for an Assistant Project Manager to work with Energy across the GGP project, based out of Ollerton. The role supports delivery across civil engineering schemes, coordinating design teams, programmes, and client interfaces.

The ideal candidate will have a site management or site engineer background, proven civils experience in energy projects, and be comfortable preparing site paperwork, using MS Project, and travelling as required. SMSTS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Site management or site engineer background preferred.
• Civils construction experience, ideally in Energy.
• Experience preparing site paperwork.
• Strong project management skills and client facing experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Project and PDF editors.

Responsibilities

• Ensure work is carried out per company procedures with a high level of professionalism.
• Assist in managing external design teams to meet targets and milestones.
• Maintain the contract programme to achieve key milestones.
• Capture and report commercial change to the Client early.
• Plan surveys and site activities in line with designers' specifications.
• Prepare site paperwork per SHESQ procedures.
• Obtain quotes from subcontractors in line with procurement procedures.
• Assist estimator with design and survey estimates.
• Engage with stakeholders early to understand requirements.
• Prepare land access strategies and coordinate with land agents.
• Coordinate with environmental team on constraints and mitigation.
• Assist Engineering in developing detailed designs per Client standards.
