Job summary

Michael Page is seeking an Assistant Project Manager / Employers Agent in Cambridge to support diverse construction projects from inception to completion. You will coordinate with clients, contractors and stakeholders to maintain progress, while applying JCT contract knowledge and Employers Agent duties.

The role offers a permanent position with a clear focus on project delivery, compliance, and timely reporting across public sector, education and residential schemes.

Qualifications

• Experience in project management within construction.
• Knowledge of the JCT form of contract and Employers Agent duties.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• MAPM or MCIOB (or working towards them).
• Familiarity with public sector, education, residential or student accommodation projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing construction projects from inception to completion.
• Act as Employers Agent on various schemes, ensuring compliance with the JCT form of contract.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to maintain communication and progress updates.
• Support project planning, budget management, and risk assessments.
• Prepare and review project documentation and reports.
• Ensure projects adhere to required standards and timelines.
• Contribute to the delivery of public sector, education, residential, and student accommodation projects.
• Provide guidance on construction delivery and technical aspects.
