Job summary

Stoke-on-Trent City Council is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support a busy Digital Transformation and AI Programme. You will help coordinate projects, maintain documentation and engage stakeholders, while working closely with Digital and Change Managers to ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

Experience of supporting projects or programmes is essential.
Experience working on digital transformation, technology, data or AI projects would be advantageous.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams.
Experience using Microsoft 365 applications and producing high-quality reports and documentation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Support the delivery of digital transformation and AI projects.
Work alongside Digital and Change Managers to coordinate project activities and change initiatives.
Maintain project plans, risk registers, action logs and programme documentation.
Organise meetings, workshops and stakeholder engagement activities.
Prepare reports, presentations and governance papers.
Track project milestones, benefits and savings.
Support communications, training and change activities to help embed new ways of working.
