We foster a culture that inspires our staff, promotes collaboration with clients, and shapes the future of mobility.

The role:

We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager/Design Manager to join our Central Rail Systems Alliance (CRSA) team. This role involves securing and delivering multi-million-pound rail infrastructure projects and programs across our portfolio.

The successful candidate will manage our experienced design and delivery teams in the UK and abroad, oversee key client accounts, and ensure CRSA remains the preferred partner for our clients.

Travel within the UK may be required to attend project sites, CRSA, and client offices based on project needs.

Your responsibilities:

  • Leading multidisciplinary engineering coordination and delivery, supporting the execution of major infrastructure projects on time and within budget.
  • Assisting in bid management to secure future work and growth opportunities.
  • Promoting and maintaining high safety standards on-site and across projects.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with alliance partners, suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Managing supply chains and subcontractors confidently.
  • Overseeing multiple design disciplines and projects, managing various demands and stakeholder expectations.

Qualifications and skills:

  • Experience managing projects, engineering deliverables, or teams across multiple locations.
  • Proven ability to deliver projects within budget, schedule, and client specifications.
  • Desirable: familiarity with Network Rail Engineering Design processes and requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Strong relationship-building skills with suppliers, clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, negotiation, conflict resolution, and leadership skills.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Membership of the Association for Project Management or similar body is desirable.

You'll work alongside top industry professionals, addressing challenges that blend traditional engineering with emerging technologies. Join us to make a positive impact on society and the environment while advancing your career.
