Job summary

Bridges Electrical Engineers Ltd. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to operate from our Portsmouth Office, covering the South Region.

This role is suited for a Junior/Engineer stepping into project management, with responsibilities across staff management, documentation, and client liaison. You will work within Water/Construction/Industrial projects, utilise MS Project, and engage with stakeholders, while travelling to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Project experience within Water, Construction or Industrial industries.
• Willingness to undertake PFQ (APM PFQ).
• Excellent client engagement and communication skills.
• Knowledge of health & safety legislation and company procedures.
• Experience using planning software such as Microsoft Project.
• Full UK driving licence; travel to client sites required.

The Role

We are currently looking for an Assistant Project Manager working in South Region and reporting to our Portsmouth Office.

This role is ideal for a Junior Project Engineer or Project Engineer looking to step into a project management capacity.

Responsibilities

• Management of staff and subcontractors working on assigned projects
• Creation and management of appropriate Project Documentation
• Control project expenditure
• Close liaison and management of the Client and other stakeholders
• Working with a monthly project reporting structure
• Proactively manage the impact on and protection of the environment
• Effectively manage the O&M outputs of the projects and programme deadlines

Essential

• Project experience within Water, Construction or Industrial industries
• APM - Willingness to undertake Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ)
• Excellent client engagement and communication skills
• Knowledge of health & safety legislation and company procedures
• Experience using planning software such as Microsoft Project
• Full UK driving licence: Driving to client sites will be part of this role.

Desirable

• Appropriate trade qualification
• Previous experience within the Water industry.
