Job summary

Bridges - Trusted Intelligent Engineering Partner is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for our South Region, based in Portsmouth. The role suits a Junior Project Engineer aiming to progress into project management.

You'll manage staff and subcontractors, oversee project documentation, control costs, liaise with clients and stakeholders, and handle monthly reporting while safeguarding health, safety and the environment across UK infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence; travel to client sites will be part of this role.
• Eligible to work in the United Kingdom.
• Experience in water, construction or industrial industries.
• Experience engaging with clients and subcontractors.
• Knowledge of health & safety legislation and company procedures.
• Experience using planning software such as Microsoft Project.
• APM - willingness to undertake the PFQ.
• Appropriate trade qualification.

The Role

We are currently looking for an Assistant Project Manager working in South Region and reporting in to our Portsmouth Office. This role would suit a Junior Project engineer or project engineer looking to take the next steps in to a project management capacity.

• Close Liaison and management of the Client and other stakeholders
• Working with a monthly project reporting structure
• Proactively manage the impact on and protection of the environment
• Effectively manage the O&M outputs of the projects and programme deadlines

Requirements

Essential

• Full UK driving licence: Driving to Clients Sites will be part of this role.

Desirable

• Project experience within water, construction or industrial industries
• Some experience in infrastructure, engineering, M&E, or electrical engineering project delivery
• Experience engaging with clients
• Experience working with subcontractors, site teams, and internal project and commercial teams
• Knowledge of health & safety legislation and company procedures
• Experience using planning software such as Microsoft Project
• APM - willingness to undertake the Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ)
• Appropriate trade qualification
