Assistant Project Manager to support the management and delivery of internal refurbishment and maintenance projects across London.

With a hands-on approach and a focus on high standards, their team ensures a clean and safe working environment, delivering reliable results for valued clients.
Key Responsibilities- Project Support: Assist in managing refurbishment and maintenance projects (typically up to GBP500k in value), supporting the Project Manager in all phases from enquiry through to completion.
- Documentation & Scheduling: Help prepare programmes of works, meeting notes, and progress reports. Track project milestones and flag issues early.
- Procurement & Admin: Assist in the procurement of materials and subcontractors. Maintain accurate records including delivery notes, RAMS, and labour returns.
- Client & Site Liaison: Attend site meetings and assist with day-to-day coordination between clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Health & Safety: Ensure all work is carried out in line with H&S requirements, conducting basic checks and supporting documentation as needed.
- Cost Awareness: Work alongside the Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor to ensure budgetary control is maintained and variations are recorded.
Requirements- Experience: 1 2 years in a construction or project coordination role, ideally within refurbishment, fit-out, or maintenance environments.
- Qualifications: HNC, HND or degree in Construction Management, Building Surveying, or a related field is preferred.
- Skills:
- Good organisational and administrative skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Basic understanding of project programmes, construction sequencing, and trade packages.
- Willingness to learn and take direction while working towards managing your own smaller works.
- IT Proficiency: Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with project management or document control software is a plus.
- Driving Licence: A valid UK driving licence is advantageous for attending site visits.
