Job summary

Ipswich Golf Club is seeking a full-time Pro Shop team member to join our staff from December 2026, focusing on retail and golf administration alongside the Head Professional.

You will deliver high levels of member service, handle retail operations, competition administration, tee bookings and support golf operations; experience in repairs/coaching beneficial but not essential.

• Good communication and computer skills.

Job description

Ipswich Golf Club is looking to recruit a full-time member of staff to join our Pro Shop team from 1 December 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and personable individual who enjoys being involved in the day-to‑day operation of a busy members’ golf club.

The role will have a strong focus on Pro Shop retail and golf administration, working alongside the Head Professional and existing team to provide a high standard of service to members and visitors.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Providing excellent customer service within the Pro Shop.
• Retail sales, merchandising and day-to‑day shop operations.
• Competition administration, including competition set‑up, entries, results and general golf administration.
• Assisting members and visitors with tee bookings, competitions and general golf enquiries.
• Supporting the Professional team with the smooth running of golf operations.

Additional skills that would be beneficial:

• Club repairs and re‑gripping.
• Golf coaching.
• Custom fitting knowledge and experience.

Experience in these areas would be an advantage, but they are not essential to the role.

We are looking for someone who is:

• Friendly, professional and comfortable working in a customer‑facing environment.
• Organised and confident with administration and computer systems.
• Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about golf.
• Interested in golf retail and delivering a high level of member service.
• Able to work effectively as part of a small Pro Shop team.
• Flexible and willing to work a mixture of weekdays and weekends.

This is a full-time position, with working hours structured around the requirements of the golf club and Pro Shop.

Salary and employment package will be dependent on experience and qualifications.
