Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Assistant Production Manager
- Proven experience as a Production Team Leader, Supervisor, or Manager within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership experience managing production teams within manufacturing
Desirable Requirements for the Assistant Production Manager
- Experience within the FMCG or food manufacturing sector.
- Continuous Improvement or Lean Manufacturing experience (5S / CI).
- Experience supporting internal and external audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the production team to achieve daily production targets.
- Ensure accurate ERP reporting for production, materials, and finished goods.
- Manage warehouse returns and material reconciliation.
- Monitor production KPIs including OEE, waste, downtime, and output.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the shift.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety compliance.
- Support audit readiness by maintaining accurate production documentation.
- Manage attendance, performance, discipline, and development of production staff.
- Promote a positive, high-performance culture focused on teamwork and accountability.
