Job summary

John Crane, a business of Smiths Group, is seeking a highly capable Financial Reporting & Controls Manager to lead monthly, half-year, and year-end reporting, uphold a robust control environment, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and corporate policies.

You will partner with Finance, Tax, Internal Audit and external auditors, champion process improvements, provide technical accounting guidance, and support leadership with timely, accurate financial information across the division.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with global/matrix experience.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and controls.
• Experience in multinational manufacturing environments.
• Excellent Excel and ERP system knowledge.
• Fluent English verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Ensure monthly, half-year, and year-end reporting accuracy.
• Maintain balance sheet integrity with provisions and reconciliations.
• Provide technical accounting guidance and standards application.
• Coordinate internal audit activities and external auditors.
• Support transfer pricing, statutory reporting, and tax compliance.
• Lead impairment testing and close activities.
• Drive continuous improvement in reporting and controls.
• Partner with stakeholders to support governance.
