We are seeking to recruit an Assistant Principal Lawyer for the Employment, Adults social care and Education Team at HB Public Law (HBPL) to advise in respect of all employment matters.
You will undertake varied, high-quality work with like-minded and supportive colleagues who are committed to public service and excellent client care.
HBPL is an innovative and ambitious Lexcel-accredited legal service serving several local authority clients, schools, and other public bodies in London and the Home Counties. We pride ourselves on delivering a high-quality service. Staff are employed by the London Borough of Harrow but work for several public sector clients.
About You
The successful candidate will be expected to lead and develop a highly motivated team, as well as to personally undertake matters of a more complex nature. We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed assistant principal lawyer with an ability to support our clients with a proven ability to develop others.
The successful candidate will be required to carry a full caseload focusing on employment matters including employment tribunal litigation and advice. Duties will include but not limited to
The successful candidate will have extensive previous local authority employment law experience and will be passionate about teamwork and developing others. A high level of client contact will be involved in this role and therefore it is essential that you exhibit good client care skills and can build strong working relationships with others.
