Job summary

Leigh Academy Tonbridge is seeking an experienced Assistant Head of College (Assistant Principal) to accelerate the school’s progression as part of Leigh Academies Trust. The role requires strategic leadership, strong interpersonal skills, and a focus on improving student outcomes while upholding core values.

The successful candidate will have English as a subject specialism with line management responsibilities and will join the senior leadership team to shape whole-school direction and culture

Qualifications

• Experience in strategic leadership at secondary level.
• English subject specialist with line management experience.
• Proven ability to raise standards and develop culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and management for the English department.
• Line manage English and contribute to whole-school strategic vision.
• Collaborate with Vice Principal and senior leadership across Leigh Academy Tonbridge.
• Drive school improvement within the trust's collaborative network.
