A leading healthcare provider in Reading is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Practitioner in Mammography to join their Breast Screening team. The ideal candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, delivering patient-centric care and supporting high standards of mammographic services. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to train as an Assistant Practitioner in Mammography to join our friendly Breast Screening team within the West Berkshire Breast Screening Programme. The successful candidate will provide an excellent patient experience and high-quality service to all, utilising best practise techniques and personalised empathetic care. As a member of the Mammography team, you will work as an integral part of the multidisciplinary breast team at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, in both the screening and symptomatic sectors. We are committed to enhancing our service and providing opportunities for both personal and professional development. The successful candidate will ensure that the provision of a high-quality service is maintained and that mammographic images are produced in accordance with bothNHS Breast Screening Programme Applicants must be willing to complete the Level 4 Apprentice Mammography Associate Practitioner training is completed at the earliest opportunity. Experience working in the NHS Breast Screening Programme would be an advantage with an NVQ level 3 in health and social skills or equivalent experience being an essential requirement.
A valid visa which covers the entire length of training is required to apply for this role

Ensure high-quality service provision and produce mammographic images in accordance with NHS Breast Screening Programme standardsThe West Berkshire Breast Screening service is part of the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust. We are part of the main radiology department and offer breast screening to all those registered as female with a GP in the west of the county of Berkshire. The service invites approximately 20,000 women a year for breast screening.
Carry out mammography screening and assessment sessions as arranged. Provide a high level of care to clients Provide general assistance to the clinical team during mammographic procedures Support staff working within the breast screening team Ensure that working practices comply with district and departmental policies on Health & Safety, Radiation and Data Protection
