Job summary

Bimplus in Guildford, Surrey, is seeking an Assistant Plant Manager to support the plant department across live civil engineering projects. You will coordinate plant and equipment, allocate resources, manage servicing, maintenance, compliance, breakdowns and hire costs on site.

Working closely with the Plant Manager, you will be the key link between the plant department and site teams, ensuring the right equipment is available when needed to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Job description

Location: Guildford, Surrey
Reporting to: Plant Manager
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000

My client is an established groundworks and civil engineering contractor, delivering residential and commercial projects across London & The South.

The business undertakes a broad range of works including groundworks, infrastructure, drainage, foundations, substructures, external works and Section 278 works, supported by its own fleet of plant, machinery and equipment.

Due to continued growth, we are looking to appoint an Assistant Plant Manager to support the management of its busy plant department.

Working closely with the Plant Manager, you will help coordinate the company’s plant and equipment across multiple live construction projects.

This is a hands-on role covering plant allocation, servicing, maintenance, compliance, breakdowns, hire management and cost control.

You’ll be a key point of contact between the plant department and site teams, helping ensure projects have the right equipment available when they need it
