What You'll Be Doing
  • Assisting in the development and management of live project programmes (Primavera P6, Powerproject, MS Project)
  • Recording and monitoring on-site progress against programme, reporting on performance and forecasting ahead
  • Producing look-ahead programmes, procurement schedules and subcontractor tracking reports
  • Supporting pre-construction teams with design, procurement and planning input
  • Preparing KPI dashboards, metrics and detailed analysis using Power BI and Excel
  • Running collaborative planning sessions and supporting submission deadlines
  • Attending site regularly to monitor progress and build strong working relationships
What We're Looking For
  • 1-2 years' experience in a planning or scheduling role within construction / civils
  • On-site experience desirable - highways / civils background preferred
  • Exposure to P6 / Powerproject / MS Project (P6 is a must)
  • Strong Power BI & Excel skills (highly desirable)
  • Understanding of NEC contracts and the importance of programme to project delivery
  • Clear communicator, confident working with both site teams and Senior Management
  • Personable, proactive and able to work as part of a tight-knit, supportive team

This could suit someone currently working as a Scheduler or Assistant Planner with civils site experience who wants to take a step up in responsibility.

Why this role?

You'll be part of a small, close-knit planning team with big personalities, lots of support and the chance to learn directly from experienced planners. The company has a commercial focus with a strong social purpose, investing in local communities and improving the prosperity of the areas they work in.

Salary & Benefits
  • Salary: £35k - £38k (depending on experience)
  • Car Allowance or Company Car
  • 26 days holiday + bank holidays (with 3 to save for Xmas, increasing with service)
  • 6.5% Employer Pension Contribution
  • Hybrid working - manage your diary between office, home and site
  • BUPA Healthcare Scheme (with family cover options, 50% contribution)
  • Group Income Protection - 50% salary cover for up to 3 years (long-term illness)
  • Enhanced paid family leave policies (maternity, paternity, adoption etc.)
  • Company sick pay (up to 20 days full pay in a rolling 12 months)

  • Employee Assistance Programme (support for health, fitness, finances & more)
  • Mental health support via NHS-approved Thrive app
