Job summary

Nottingham College is recruiting for an Assistant People Services Business Partner on a part-time fixed-term basis to maternity cover. The role is 21 hours per week, based at Nottingham One, with a pro rata FTE salary of £17,515–£20,024 for 9–12 months.

You will provide advice and support to managers on people matters, including employee relations, engagement and data reporting, within a busy People Services team.

Qualifications

  • Generalist HR experience, including employee relations, casework, recruitment and project work.
  • Strong communication and data-analysis skills.
  • Ability to influence and build effective working relationships with College leaders and managers.
  • Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advice, guidance and support to managers on a range of people matters.
  • Lead employee relations casework and recruitment projects.
  • Collaborate with the People Services team to deliver on people initiatives.
  • Analyse data and produce accurate reports for leadership.

What you’ll bring

The ideal candidate will have generalist HR experience, including employee relations, casework, recruitment and project work. You will:

  • Work at pace, managing and prioritising your workload
  • Develop effective working relationships with College leaders and managers
  • Possess excellent attention to detail, and be able to analyse and produce accurate data and information

This is a part-time role, 21 hours per week. Fixed Term Maternity Cover for 9 to 12 months. There is some flexibility on the days and hours worked, the only ask is that one of these days is a Tuesday, we have a number of colleagues working part time and Tuesdays are the one day all colleagues work so we can collaborate and have team time together.
