Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc seeks an Assistant Package Manager / Sub Agent to join the Major Projects team at the Old Oak Common station development in North-West London. You will manage structural steel and envelope work packages, coordinate subcontractors and ensure safe delivery.

The role requires a civil engineering qualification, CSCS, and experience on large infrastructure projects; NEC3 contracts experience preferred. The package includes smart working options and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• BSc, MSc or BEng in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• CSCS
• Experience in related environment
• Good understanding of contracts and NEC3 notifiable events
• Experience on large infrastructure projects
• Procurement processes and detail in WI

Responsibilities

• Manage Package – Structural Steel/Envelope works and related subcontractor deliverables
• Measure subcontractor performance and raise HSE issues
• Develop construction sequence strategy and scope analysis
• Produce procurement documentation and liaise with designers
• Provide value engineering proposals to improve design
• Liaise with package design management and subcontractors to deliver design portions
• Manage contract communications with subcontractors and track deliverables
• Ensure accurate progress reporting and documentation
• Oversee site staffing and plant activity reporting
