Job summary

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is seeking an Administrative & Operational Support Officer to assist the Posture & Mobility Service in Wheelchairs, Prosthetics and Custom Seating. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Administration & Operational Support delivery via daily work planning, annual leave and staff absence.
  • Ensure adequate service cover during absences and redeploy staff with the Operations Team Supervisor.
  • Monitor performance in admin/stock or reception and implement corrective action with the Head of Operations or Operations Team Supervisor.

To assist in the delivery of an efficient and effective Administrative & Operational support service to the clinical Posture & Mobility Service – Wheelchairs, Prosthetics and Custom Seating.

Particular emphasis will be placed on the management of performance, quality and resource utilisation, with a view to delivering consistently high-quality services to ensure the progress of the patient journey through pathways in a timely manner.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job

Responsible for ensuring the co-ordination of Administration & Operational Support delivery through the organisation of daily work activities, annual leave and absence of staff. Ensuring adequate levels of cover for services during periods of absence, recognising where cover would be most effective and redeploying staff in conjunction with the Operations Team Supervisor.

Responsible for ensuring that effective monitoring mechanisms are in place, which enables early identification of potential problems or shortfalls in administration services (admin/stock or reception) and in implementing corrective action to improve performance in area of responsibility in liaison with the Operations Team Supervisor or Head of Operations.
