Assistant Operational Accountant Liverpool City Centre (based on-site) Up to £35k dependent on experience

Delighted to be exclusively partnered with an exciting, dynamic, and growing Financial Services company in Liverpool City Centre. We are searching for an Assistant Accountant to assist with the Operational/Treasury side of finance.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work alongside an award-winning Financial Controller and develop your financial skill-set.

No two days will be the same, and the role can be tailored to your strengths and interests.

Key Duties:

• Review weekly/daily profit & loss statements, providing detailed business commentary including variance analysis.
• Undertake nominal ledger tasks such as processing journals, nominal ledger cross-charges, and period-end reconciliations.
• Provide detailed analysis to operations of key business performance drivers and internal reporting trend analysis.
• Prepare Balance Sheet Summaries with supporting reconciliations, identifying financial risks and opportunities.
• Take responsibility for preparing the annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
• Manage treasury functions.
• Monitor aged debt and un-invoiced revenue, ensuring they align with business accepted levels.
• Liaise with external auditors during the audit process, ensuring timely provision of required information.
• Continuously improve reporting processes and procedures for both customers and the company.

About you:

• Experience in daily cash flow management and business costs accounts is preferred.
• You are motivated, accurate, and hardworking.
