Job summary

Busy Bees Nursery West End in Surrey is seeking an Assistant Manager to join a busy, state-of-the-art setting designed for up to 110 children. You will support the Centre Director, deliver a high-quality curriculum, and ensure health, safety and regulatory standards are met.

The ideal candidate will hold Level 3 (or higher) in early years, have supervisory experience, and bring strong leadership and communication skills to inspire a dedicated team and foster positive relationships with families.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification or above in early years education.
• Experience in an early years setting, with supervisory experience an advantage—Nursery Room Leader/Manager/Practitioner.

Responsibilities

• Support the Centre Director in overseeing daily operations and maintaining educational standards.
• Develop and deliver an engaging, high-quality curriculum tailored to children’s needs.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and health and safety standards.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to staff to maintain a cohesive team.
• Enhance customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional service and a positive nursery experience for families.
• Assist with administrative tasks including scheduling, payroll, and recruitment.
• Manage operational records and support financial planning to ensure sustainability.
