Job summary

Selfridges is seeking an Assistant Merchandiser to monitor supplier commitments and stock levels, and to support buyers with informed recommendations. You will manage allocations, oversee DC stock, and provide weekly and seasonal analysis to optimise full-price sell through.

You will build strong relationships with brand partners, oversee OTB strategies, and maintain systems knowledge (Retek, Excel, RMS, RPM) to drive stock efficiency.

• Experience at an Assistant Merchandiser level.

Responsibilities

• Review stock levels by store and make recommendations.
• Oversee the system for replenishment continuity.
• Maintain stock levels at the Distribution Centre and take action where necessary.
• Collaborate with Retail Operations on stock queries.
• Analyse OTB strategies and escalate issues to the lead Merchandiser.
• Forge strong relationships with brand partners.
• Identify stock issues and negotiate stock actions with suppliers.
• Provide weekly, seasonal and ad‑hoc reports.
• Maintain knowledge of Retek, Excel, RMS and RPM.
• Identify opportunities for stock transfer and oversee allocation.
• Oversee model stock and replenishment from the DC.
• Assist the Merchandiser in updating and maintaining the WSSI.
• Provide FP analysis for buyers.
• Assist in OTB planning and phasing.
• Coordinate sale setup and be the key contact for Retail Operations.
• Manage markdowns and stock into sale with LY planning.
• Manage RTV process end-to-end.
• Manage Allocator workload and development.
