Job Description:

Join our Home team as an Assistant Merchandiser specializing in Rugs for a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role offers the opportunity to develop your skills within a company renowned for quality in UK retail, focusing on trend-driven product ranges and global travel opportunities.

Your Responsibilities:
  1. Formulating Range Structure Proposals: Analyze market trends, consumer preferences, and sales data to develop and present assortment plans, pricing strategies, and key product features.
  2. Presenting in Formal Meetings: Prepare engaging presentations, articulate proposals clearly, and address stakeholder questions confidently.
  3. Appraising Performance and Proposing Strategies: Evaluate past performance metrics, identify strengths and weaknesses, and recommend strategic improvements.
  4. Building Relationships with Suppliers: Cultivate trust and transparency in negotiations and collaborations.
  5. Planning and Reviewing Capacity, Production, and Fabric Reservations: Forecast demand, coordinate with suppliers, and review progress regularly.
  6. Maintaining Merchandise Systems: Ensure data accuracy, update records, and conduct audits.
  7. Guiding Trainees and Managing Tasks: Provide direction, delegate effectively, and monitor progress.
