Job summary

Argos, a digital-led UK retailer, is seeking an Assistant Merchandiser for a 6-month FTC funded by supplier, focusing on Floorcare. You will join the Merchandising team to deliver customer-focused product ranges and achieve sales, margin, and stock targets.

You will analyse trends, review weekly trading, manage allocations at category/SKU level, and collaborate with replenishment to optimise stock availability.

Qualifications

• Commercial background in a general merchandise area.
• Previous experience in an Assistant Merchandiser or Merchandise Admin role.
• Understanding of allocation and stock management and forecasting.
• Strong planning and prioritisation skills.
• Highly numerate and analytical.
• Ability to work within tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of customer-focused product ranges to hit sales and stock targets.
• Review weekly trading performance and identify opportunities and issues.
• Own category and SKU level forecasts to optimise sales and availability.
• Collaborate with replenishment teams to plan allocations and launches.
