Position Overview

As an Assistant Planner within the Merchandise Planning team, you will support inventory management, forecasting, and strategic planning to enhance business performance. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills, effective communication, and a passion for retail and merchandise planning.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Update reports regularly on a weekly, monthly, and ad hoc basis.
  2. Actualize the department's WSSI weekly.
  3. Prepare for and participate in weekly trade meetings; formulate and deliver trade messages independently.
  4. Provide accurate data to support analysis for seasonal meetings, including hindsight and sign-offs.
  5. Update and forecast department line cards to maximize sales and optimize stock across channels.
  6. Update seasonal recodes systematically.
  7. Manage the department's stock delivery schedule and communicate updates to the team.
  8. Handle seasonal markdowns and communicate with stores.
  9. Participate in store visits, compile reports, and assist in creating follow-up presentations.
  10. Conduct competitor analysis regularly and present relevant insights.
Training and Development

Adopt a proactive approach to personal and peer development, promote improvements in working practices and systems, and participate in company initiatives as appropriate.

Communications & Partnerships

Build and maintain strong relationships within cross-functional teams such as Buying, Allocations, ECOM, and retail stores. Liaise with assortment planning and buying partners to review seasonal lessons learned and influence future buying decisions using analysis and historical data.
