Assistant Merchandiser - Beauty Industry - Full Time Position

The Beauty Crop — London, Greater London

This is a full-time permanent role with a hybrid working model. You will need to be in the West London office 3 days a week.

Position Overview

We are a young and dynamic beauty company operating primarily in the E-commerce space, experiencing impressive growth within 18 months of operations.

Our mission is to create a fun yet serious brand with plant-based, nutritional formulas that transform skin from within without breaking the bank.

We seek an Assistant Product Planner who is both commercial/analytical and product-focused to support our Product and Ecom teams. Responsibilities include monitoring sales performance, managing Product Library and Critical Path, stock levels, and supporting NPD launches. We value a hungry, eager-to-learn multi-tasker adaptable to a fast-paced trading environment.

The Assistant Product Planner will be a key product trading expert impacting our ongoing success.

Responsibilities

1. Product Performance & Trading
2. Run and circulate reports with commentary
3. Support category strategy and OTB planning
4. Recommend NPD/OTB and range improvements
5. Forecast product lines and identify risks/opportunities
6. Review stock levels, suggest transfers and replenishment
7. Manage inventory, slow sellers, and trading out
8. Collaborate with Ecommerce on trading, merchandising, promotions, and campaigns
9. Analyze site performance and implement improvements
10. Recommend pricing and promotional activities
11. Manage product pricing across channels

Product Lifecycle Management

1. Own rebuys from PO to intake, coordinating with NPD and Operations
2. Maintain accurate Product Library information
3. Track NPD from conception to launch, meeting Critical Path deadlines
4. Manage sample inventory for marketing activities
5. Support marketing calendar and stakeholder communication
6. Coordinate with Ecom team on digital assets

Qualifications/Skills

• 2-3 years experience in Merchandising, Planning, or Ecommerce
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, familiar with retail metrics (ROS, stock cover, margin)
• Knowledge of Ecommerce performance metrics (conversion rate, page views, AOV, basket size)
• Understanding of critical path and product lifecycle
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Experience with Tiktok shop is a bonus
