Job summary

Retail Human Resources plc in London is seeking an experienced Assistant Merchandiser to support the womens dresses team. You will work closely with the merchandiser and buying team to maximise sales and stock availability.

The role requires strong WSSI and OTB experience, expert Excel skills, and the ability to interpret data to identify commercial opportunities. The position offers a hybrid working pattern with four days in the office and one day home.

As an assistant merchandiser, you’ll work closely with the merchandiser and buying team to maximise sales, profitability and stock availability across the department. You’ll be responsible for in-season trading, analysing sales and stock performance, managing WSSI and OTB, supporting range planning and forecasting, monitoring stock flow and intake, and identifying risks and opportunities across key product areas. You’ll also contribute to range sign-offs, markdown and promotional decisions, lessons learnt and wider departmental strategy, while helping to support and develop junior team members.

We’re looking for an experienced assistant merchandiser with at least one year’s experience in an AM role, who is commercially minded and confident working with trade and sales analysis. You’ll need strong WSSI, OTB and stock management experience, alongside excellent Excel skills including pivots, lookups and formulas. Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and the confidence to interpret data and identify commercial opportunities are essential, as is the ability to build effective relationships with buying, design, supply chain and wider teams. You’ll be proactive, organised and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change.

The salary is £32,000–£38,000, depending on experience. The role is based in London with four days in the office and Fridays working from home.
